on a full bore second gear drive-by at 20ft it was reading 100db, not too offensive, just nicely fruity.

Nice, but bear in mind it's not suitable for anyone wanting to do trackdays or the ring etc.

it aint that loud i dont know the db limit but i have been to a few and there is a lot louder cars on track! in my experience they usually read the db at half your maximum rpm

Interesting, i thought it was all gravy as long as your car was road legal, didnt realise there were noise restrictions? ... an Aston AMV8 must be pushing that noise level if not blasting way through it at full bore being one of the loudest (and best sounding!) production cars surely?

Funnily enough when i went back in sept 2005 Aston had the track closed for an evening session and was testing a couple of AV8's (must've been final production testing) although i dunno if anyone told them but they were going the wrong way round?! yes we wer puzzled too but they were dffinitely going round it in reverse! .... Any who i digress...

Got the exhaust today, cheers Steve. The quality looks top notch. Should be fitted by the end of the day.

Good effort :)
