Yes it's been discussed before lots of times but its so much easier to start a new thread instead of doing a search isn't it ;)

Ironically IIRC there has only been one reported incident of cambelt failure, but quite a few reports of waterpump failure...

you can add me to the waterpump failure list... Car went in to new Stealership here in Worthing for 100k service... came abck and within a week was overheating. Several heated discussions, a trip Brighton Audi and over 900 notes later all was sorted. Waterpump failure being the cause.
