EvoII last night on my way roun the M25. Coming through the Holmsdlale Tunnel and heard BAAARK....dUMP a few times behind me.
Looked round and saw a couple of early 20's essex lads weaving erratically through the traffic on either side. Generally budging people out of the way and being obnoxious. This angered me so I gave a little squirt on 3rd as they undertook me and coasted alongside. Shook my head at them and floored again.....
Credit to them - they lagged for a while but then flew past me as I braked for the cars in front. Difficult to make a comparison because they were willing to take risks with other drivers and drive on the hard shouljder etc. But fair play to them - they were faster than I was.

I think in the real world Minheas car would be faster....... I said that to him when I was in itdavid7m wrote:How about motorbikes?S2tuner wrote:Nothing has pulled away from me yet....
I reckon if I was following in my blade I would have to have been on the boil to even think about keeping up..... under normal conditions I would have had to change down a couple of gears and wind it up by which time Minhea with his riduculous torque and traction would have been away in the distance!
but yes in a straight line race where the biker is aware of the race and ready for it it might just pull away!;)

Was heading North on the A49 the other week and saw some headlights closing fast. Was looking in my mirror trying to figure out what it was, then it passed me on a blind right turn with awesome acceleration, narrowly missing an oncoming Sunday driver. Took me a few miles to catch up to him as he had been overtaking everyone on the road. When I finally caught up, I was feeling very humbled to see that it was a T reg Golf TDi (hopefully it was a driver who knew the road)!!!!
The only thing which made the pain go away was when a friend of mine told me about a guy who owns a garage near Wrexham with a rolling road. Apparantly he regularly challenges people to put a car on his RR with higher torque than his modded TDi.
Think I need me a remap!

i know that feeling.
just had some fun with a tuned type r civic but at the next roundabout on a very slippy duel carriageway gave him the slip then backed off to let him get back in front to check the drag- it- out factor.
normally these are no trouble but fair play to him he gave a good try.not much in it at top end(didnt go to the speed limiter...) or low down but in the middle i filled his mirrors like custard in a vanilla slice.
also had a great duel with a H reg renault 5 campus . 2 grey ladies gave me the dead eye at a down hill set of lights on a duel carriageway.
so i thought i'll have em!!! so lights changed to amber and i selected my gear .....6th should do it.
so off i rolled and then with a bit of clutch slip engaged fully and although the lag was a bit severe untill about 35, i kept up with 2 ladies well but as they saw me keep up they turned off... bugger!
