I need to get hold of one of the SPS dongles and put the car back to standard mapping at some point just to eliminate the map. Theres a company in stockport MCR called prosport that are, or are becoming, revo dealers so ill have to see what they can sort out. I spoke to the previous owner (guy called ben from elite motor tune in northampton... thats my s4 on there website) and the only problem the revo had caused was when it was installed the car ran like a load of crap. Ben used vagcom to reset the factory defaults and realign the throttle bodies and he said it was fine after that and didnt give him any more trouble in the time he had the car (around 3 years looking at the service book). I wouldnt have had a Revo by choice tho as generic mapping is never going to be a good thing. One thing i dont get is can you set the boost pressure and fuelling through the ecu? with a lot of jap stuff you have to buy something like the apexi Power fuel control/boost control to get that level of tuneability with boost and fuelling.
Andy - where are you in the uk?
I'll tell you what is wrong with your car, and if I can't you get my time for free!!
Did I read this correctly that the car ran bad before the revo and still bad after?
Send me an email doug@mrctuning.com

you wont believe whats happened now.to summarise i took the car to the audi garage the other day, and it was fine part from the hesitation. I go up there last night and one of the turbos is whining its nuts off and the bottom line is I think theyve overspun one of the turbos whilst theyve been thrashing the s*it (which they admitted) out of my car insteads of concentrating on getting it sorted. They said theyve had a good look over it and they can find any loose hoses, i open the bonnet and spot a massive crack in the throttle body boot the secoond i look at it.£100 an hour for absolute incompetence. the funniest thing is the they think im going to pay for it. no chance!where do i stand if the cars been damaged whilst in there possesion?Im struggling to believe the level of incompetence (and the possible size of the bill) im facing right now.
Can i just say a big big thank you to doug at MRC for chatting with me yesterday. I will be taking my car nowhere else once this is sorted as its clear he knows these inside out.

Perhaps you could contact the service manager and request a meeting with him/her and the dealer principle / MD to discuss how they intend to proceed ? Ask them how long they need to prepare & arrange. A couple of working days should be enough.
No need to threaten anything, just approach them in a calm, reasonable manner and remember that they have their own reputation and that of Audi to protect. Do not cause them any other concerns by posting too much info here or elsewhere. Be clear though that unless proven otherwise, you consider this is a problem they have caused in attempting to fix the car.
Best of luck.

Andy, make sure you preserve evidence and get things in writing. I guess from your post that you already have a bill? And presumably this does not include the TBB? If so it confirms that either they intended to return your car to you with a torn TBB, or more likely they did not notice it. Either way it suggests incompetence and makes it hard for them to avoid accepting responsibility.
I also agree with DavidT: Don't post too much here, and put your case clearly to the service manager (and indeed to the MD if that does not get the right response). You'll need to show that you have tried to resolve the issue directly before taking legal action. If you have evidence as I suggest above, then challenge the service manager to give you a direct answer. If this is that the TBB failed after they finished work, then tell him that the inspection of the finished job was inadequate. No matter what he says, he needs to take responsibility for not returning the car to you in a sound condition. If he still won't do what is right, ask for that response in writing. No need to threaten legal action, if you simply ask for written statements which show the Dealer is in the wrong, I find it impossible to believe that you won't get a result.
