I was quite keen to do this, but after reading this thread is seems to get more complicated as it goes on :)

With a VAG-COM and a DBW S4, how difficult is it to retro fit the cruise control? The idea of yanking pins out of the ECU seems a little daunting ! :)

You don't yank anything with these things dude, and expect it still to work.

Morpheous - I honestly think you may be onto something. When I bought my stalk to fit cruise and then sold it on ebay as no immediate and obvious wiring available, I could have sold it 100 times over and could have sold info on how to fit cruise 150 times over...! If you could get some documentation together with the part, you may be ont a small fortune. Fontain charge how much to retro-fit this for us..>? You could sell a kit much cheaper......

your time, as always is appreciated.

I am still working on the documentation, I have started taking photos of the plug connections and wiring, and how to dismantle to plug connector in the ebox etc.
Very pushed for time due to work commitments so its been very frustrating.
Would be easy to put together a kit to send out, as Audi don't have an off the shelf retro-fit kit, yes it could do well on the likes of ebay.
Goes without saying, you boys would get it at parts cost only.

I'm happy to pay cost plus MAT (Morpheous added tax). We usually stump up a crate of favourite beer or a bottle of something slightly stronger.

Had some time off today to take photos of install.
First thing..... The stalks on the VAG parts site wont fit the facelift S4, the wiring loom is also incorrect as are the connectors.
The new switch (same for S6 and A8 ) comes with the light switch and has a new connector.
I have ordered the parts and will put one kit together with working loom and all the factory connectors.
The pictures will be put on a cd (taken 60) and sent with instructions.
I am also putting together a list of parts if you want to go it alone.

Quite straight forward, you just need patience and some proper tools.

Writing notes for the pictures at the moment.
I have a friend with an older S4 pre facelift, I will try to get info/photos for this also.

Morpheous, just a word of caution, protect your CD's so people can't just duplicate them & sell them on ebay seperately. That happened to me when I cut a few copies of the alfa workshop manuals for a few guys.. they suddenly appeared on ebay at £30 a pop lol..

I personally don't care if it’s a CD or the instructions are written on the back of a cigarette box!!
Once I can get a kit with all the wiring connections ready to plug in (if that’s possible)
I would gladly pay reasonable figure +P&P

Cheers
