I believe they did the run in 3rd at leons request, and it didnt take long at all about one min. they were scared the car would jump off the rollers so they used 6 straps to hold it down!!

395 WHP is amazing figure....well more than your FATS time would suggest. That is well over 500BHP crank. 25% loss would put you at 525-535 BHP !

Bit dubious about the RR figures but lets see the differences with a nice exhaust and IM. It will be worth putting it on the same one just to see differences. Send me the logs if you got them when it was on the dyno - we can see if the load was accurate. Bretts and my golf were dynoed on a Hoffman dyno about a year ago.

The run was very quick - the car reved round VERY fast... as you say must be an inertia dyno. I will get the logs posted when I can. I didnt really do the run to get an accurate figure - more to just have a before and after. I can take the car to another dyno once it is done - one we are all familure with - Westek etc...

Leon - You could always try InterPro in Bristol for the rolling road.

Leon does seem a huge figure. Rollin Roads are always different good luck with the rest of the build hopefully you'll have some more torques and a similar hp figure.

I was a little unhappy with my motors figures when i got it back from AutoPS 404bhp-385ib/ft, but the drive is great through out the rev range and it seems very well balanced. I'm sure MRC could make it a little better on the torque side... I'll ask em to look at it when i get some more pennys

have u been able to use the old Downpipes and cats?

Why do you keep spending all this money on rolling roads? Once MRC has given the thumbs up and a read out that all is good, I would take that as gospel, and then maybe put it on the rollers in 12 months time or sooner if you think there is a problem:?

Surely you are more interested how it drives on the road consistently, rather than a print out that says dyno X is 2% higher than dyno Y :|

Always one to come up with a different angle david7m, but he has had one dyno run to do a before and after on the exhaust mod - umm, so what were you saying?

@ Kies4 - what dyno did AutoPS use? As far as I'm aware they only have a engine dyno for development but not a chassis one.

They like that at work ;)

Sorry, maybe I have lost the plot, but I thought he has already had several rolling roads and people are suggesting other places to take it for different/better machines :?

I think the before and after a big mod is a great idea though

Graham >>> AutoPS used the Superchips RR in Brackley they are in the process of buying a second hand RR, don't know where they'd put it though.

Ah, do you perhaps mean the Superchips RR in Buckingham, very close. I think they were looking at another unit for the RR, but said noise regulations etc were causing issues.

Hi Kieren - indeed going to try use your downpipes & cats... (STILL OWE YOU!!) - once they are on - assuming MRC can get them to fit the car will be passed over to RS Fabrications near MRC to make up the exhaust. As Woody says - the exhaust looks impressive and everything who has seen their work has nothing but really good things to say.

I am looking forward to the end result. I will have the car on the same rollers just to see the difference made - but will try get it on the same dyno as Mihnea has his car to see a more realistic figure.

Should have news in the next 2-3 days.

Unfortunately the downpipes do not fit. One of the flanges is actually welded the wrong way up - no wonder you had trouble Kieren. RS Fabrications are now going to make up a set of downpipes using your cats to marry up to their catback system. They have done it at a fantastic price as a once off to get this car done!! Having heard nothing but praise from quite a few sources now on their work - I am relieved they are doing the whole system front to back.

Big push to have it done before Mihnea goes back home on Thursday. Watch this space.
