The remap I have is supposed to be good for 330hp, so the output calc via the MAF is not what I would expect.
Apparantly the RR wasn't using a wideband sensor so their readings could be out. But then if the car's not running lean it's still not putting out the expected HP. So something else maybe not right.
From what I understand if I had a boost leak it would be running rich. So can I discount that? Same with N75 valve? DV's?
I'll put a new MAF in anyway and see what that does..

I reckon that's a tad optimistic with everything else standard. Use VAG COM to log requested boost versus actual boost. Don't discount boost leaks. Try and get it pressure tested if possible. What DVs are on the car?vaudiw wrote:The remap I have is supposed to be good for 330hp, so the output calc via the MAF is not what I would expect.

Thanks for all the feedback so far. Just picked up a new MAF and 2 710n DV's, which I will fit this weekend.
I don't have Vag-Com so have also purchased a cable from Ebay. So when that arrives I will be able to run logs alot easier.
I'm learning heaps, and apart from the stress of thinking my car was about to melt it has been interesting trying to work out whats going on..
As I've said previously we don't have S4 specialists such as MRC out here in the antipodes so its either the dealer or independent garages who are more generalists, or DIY. So its great to have this resource

well what would that reason be? i was told that the car must be brought to youS2tuner wrote:That could be because of a different reason....curtis11 wrote: I am pretty sure someone has installed some MRC magic in your neck of the woods by post!
i would doubt it , they would not sort me out with a map for my s4 and i am in n.ireland
Let us know how the logs go. Good luck.vaudiw wrote:Thanks for all the feedback so far. Just picked up a new MAF and 2 710n DV's, which I will fit this weekend.

If memory serves, your car is far from standard and is pretty much a stage 3, if that is the case, we very rarely accept to do mail-order remaps for anyone, in fact almost never.

RE changing the maf willy nilly. Unplug the old one first and if the car runs the same or better, the old one is shot. If not, save your money...
Minhea (and MRC) knows his/their stuff, if you like your engine the way it is (and not very ill), I would listen to them.

i could understand that but my car is only stage 2 with a remap and cat back exhaust, i just wanted a stage 1 map.
sorry for the hijack , my bad

I've now replaced the MAF and run some more logs.
Looks better but still not as good as I had anticipated. FAT time puts output at 275hp.
The boost looks OK, except the @ 2720 rpm there is a big difference between Specfiied and Actual. Any ideas anyone why this would be?
I've also logged grp 116 which showed 0% for Fuel, Lambda and Air Correction, so I assume this is good.
I'll log 20 and 21 to check the knock sensors.
Any other ideas or feedback would be appreciated...

The boost spec/actual looks fine there. The difference at low revs is because the turbos haven't had time to fully spool up. It's made peak requested boost on time and holds boost well. Nothing to worry about!
Using MAF reading/0.8, that equates to about 290bhp.
My FATS times are way slower than other people running the same power. The only thing which I think is different is mid-range torque. That will be down to the map.
It's difficult to compare FATS times with cars from other parts of the world as factors such as the quality of fuel and ambient temps could make a big difference.
Get it back on the Rolling Road and see what figures they come back with.
