189K On these K03's - but, it's stock apart from Forge DV's and Silicone hoses which were only fitted 10K ago.

The car was serviced by Audi main dealers every 10K (Stockport Audi IIRC) using whatever the VAG approved oil is (not long life).

Also this car spent most of it's life before me munching motorway miles, so all in all about what you'd expect.
Wanted: C5 RS6 Avant

Audis are cheaper than women, and when they finally leave they don't take your kids and half your stuff....
although smack either one about and the police turn up ;-)

My car's just crossed the 65K mark and still has the original K03s. Modded at about 20K. Maintenance has been good but not exceptional. Always used fully synth oil. Used to be 0W30 and had 10W40 last summer but am sticking with 0W40 all year now. Changes have varied between about 4K miles and 10K miles. However for me the key in looking after my turbos has been attention to warm-up and cool-down (the latter being easy with my afterrun pump mod). My turbos sound as healthy as they were when the car was new. Shame really 'cos I'd like an excuse to get K04s, but that will have to wait until my house extension is paid for (assuming I still have some money left over!).

David the entire post was never meant to offend and has obviously failed at being a light hearted post. If it has caused offence I apologise unreservedly. :(

Hopefully in the light of my above comments you will understand that my post was not intended to criticise the 'Crew' and I am not entirely sure what justification you have for suggesting this?

However a single typo in 1300 hundred odd posts shound ( ) not require spelling corrections hopefully.

To answer the original Q approx 85K on original turbos, 5K oil changes using Castrol Edge Sport 0W-40. Not the very best oil you can get however easily bought trade and is not that bad an oil IMHO.

146k on the original K03s thus far. The car shows all the evidence of having been a motorway muncher and has been serviced by Audi all its life. Not going to jinx it by saying anything else :)

Mmm dare i answer this question!,don't want to tempt fate at the moment, too much other stuff going on.
But 81k on original Ko3's, with audi service history + 1 @ QST then
Remapped at 76k and oil changed every 5/6k using silkolene Pro S 5w-40(as recommended by the opie guy's). And car giving some very good MAF figures so don't suspect any iminant problems.

He loves it really!

Stock facelift (99 V), 125K with full Audi history on original K03's - no plans to modify the engine except of course to do the after run mod.
