AFAIK, Motul 300 is GL4/5 which means it's chemically compatible with GL4.
It's the sulphur based EP additives in GL5 only (i.e. M1 SHC) which can't be
put into the transmission. GL5 is fine in the rear diff.

Spot on Jonny,

The gearbox calls for synthetic hypoid 75w-90, the VW designation for this oil is VW52911

So, really any good quality synthetic GL4 or GL4/5 75w-90 is ideal. The Motul Gear 300 75w-90 makes a good top quality choice.

According to my book you will need 3.2ltr including cooler.

and what's good for the rear diff and how much needed??

I all ways get the oil from the dealer , fill it to the filler plug level and then road test . Once hot return and top up the level as the oil cooler in the rad will have been filled in the road test ..
