I wouldn't be able to bring myself to fit 18's without having the car lowered. As fitting 18's was only a thought as a cheaper path to better brakes and I don't otherwise want 18's or the car lowered, I conclude it's not an option! Thanks for your help. Seeing the cars in the flesh at the weekend really made my mind up.

I agree, with the bigger wheels the car does need lowering. Mine should be getting a little closer to the ground this weekend and I know S4TAN's car is booked in for a little drop.

You still have the option to look out for a second hand set of Porsche brakes or a Hi-Spec setup...

If staying standard then maybe some DBA disc's?

I've noticed that. ZeroK66's car looked good before lowering but now it's in a different league along with Dougs

Yeah - I'm definitely going for the drop - but not as low as others (although they do look very good) - i reckon those Eibach sport springs with a 20mm drop front and back will stiffen things up nicely and look real good with my 18" B6 wheels - and after reading 0k66's eulogy on the ARBs then having these put on will give me the cornering capability and stiffness i'm after - can't f***in' wait!!!
