the low mileage car may well have been sitting around for weeks or even months on end without being started.....no doubt the interior and bodywork and probably spotless.... but if the engine has been sitting unused with just the occasional use, i wouldnt of thought it would be as good as a car used every day, properly warmed up etc.

just my 2p worth

Cars are machines that are designed to be used.
Having a few cars and not using any of them for commuting means that I have to be very careful with the maintenance of them. If a car isn't used for more than 2 weeks the battery needs to go on charge otherwise it will run down and then not hold charge anymore.
In the weather that we are currently having condensation forms on metal surfaces where the air is so cold over night and warms up during the day.

Yup I'd agree, I've found that there's a point where low milage either means low usage/buggered oil seals etc etc or the fact that it's been in the garage most of it's life getting fixed - don't buy a low milage Cerbera lol

35K miles is fine. At most your cars is just 6 years old and that works out as just shy of 6K miles a year. That's roughly what I do a year and it isn't all in the S4.

It's been said many times before that it's not necessarily the mileage that is what you should be concerned with when buying but how it's been looked after doing that mileage.

My darling has been serviced every 5k and had the belts and pump replaced - so sweet as a nut! Now I have to keep it that way - costly :S
