Sure.

I dont have the info to hand because I ordered from vag-parts and they delivered direct to Dialynx who did the rest.

I'll find out though

You can see the grilles on www.vagparts.com go into:

Shop
Product Overview
Audi
S4 98 > 2001
Exterior
Grilles

£ 33.24 + VAT & Delivery and you will need to paint them.

Not sure on the pre/post facelift thing, they only list one set so I would think they are the same?

Thanks a lot DavidT for that, a big help.
Also price is for THE PAIR if anyone else is reading this, not bad I think. Those foglights (which I never use) are right in the airflow to the intercoolers.

As you know these grilles require painting. There is a Company selling ready-mixed aerosols perfect for this job. They can supply your exact colour.

Looks like BAD NEWS for some of us!
The "Canadian Grilles" at vagparts are listed as S4 99.5 > 2001 which is FACELIFT cars, bearing in mind this is in the section S4 1998 -->

It won't take much to find out if the facelift grille will fit your car - go to a meet and swap the grilles over - they just pull off!

Just got this info from Vagparts, confusion is the name of the game !
.........."Thanks for the enquiry about the grilles, the reason we said they didn't fit was because Audi in 98 fitted a different bumper, this was only used for nine months in 98 previous to this was fine,"........

Well, it's GOOD NEWS for once!
After studying Nige_S4's photo's I ordered from Vagparts.
The "Canadian" Grilles fit my late 1998 Avant (i.e. pre-facelift). They are two-piece and the part No. on the plastic surround is exactly the same as my original, it's only the actual grille panel which is different (no foglight hole).
The foglights are right in front of the intercoolers, so (as one is cracked too) I've removed them to give the intercoolers maximum air-flow.
The spray can of paint arrived from paints4u.com NEXT DAY (brilliant) and I've now painted and fitted the grilles.

WOW! Just to say I've come back from Wales over the "Snake Pass" tonight. Ambient temp 0C to -2C air pouring through my "Canadian" Grilles into my std. intercoolers and then on into my Stoptech Brakes. 1.2 bar Boost (K03) and Tesco 99 ron fuel. Flying !! I know it's my imagination but sure seems quickest it's ever been. Get those fogligts removed!!

Does removing the fog lights make a noticeable differance to day-to-day driving?

i would think that if you are chipped then yes . keeps intake temps down so timing can be tweaked further on your custom map.
