Aren't there two choices of alu mirrors - brushed or polished finish ? I believe the RS4 comes with brushed, but the S4/S3 option is polished. Personally, I think I prefer brushed out of the two. Either look odd if you have black rails though (unless you have a black car) [img]images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

They were brushed aluminimum as an option for my car. But my dealer f***ed up and I ended up with painted ones.

The reason I wanted them was that I thought they would be more resistant to stone chips than the painted ones. But now 2 years on my mirrors are still chip-free [img]images/graemlins/1syellow1.gif[/img]

I have the polished aluminium roof rails, and think they look good. But then my car's silver so they fit in. IMO they don't look so good on coloured cars. Same with the aluminium mirrors. I thought they would look fine on my silver car, but I agree with Jeff - they look a bit naff on a coloured car.

Anyway, how the car drives is far more important than how it looks!

Just cos he`s got a S4.... but remember mine is newer and has RSTT alloys which look so good whilest in motion.
