£1300 and £500 of the re-map - I suppose when you put it like that - yeah it's not that bad.

Ignore me...I was having a bit of a rant early on. Hard hard day at work in combination with a couple of ripp off business folks.

Yeah I was forgetting you went for the full Milteck etc.

Any advise from AMD as to how to prevent or predict this kind of catastophic failure?

Have you done your suspension or the brakes yet?

The Brakes are by HiSpec (355 x32 4 Pots) and are excellent (still).....the suspension is standard...

Ohh yeah the price also includes going back and getting a re-remap to take the car up to 400 + BHP once it's run in !

I'm sure that after you have the remap it'll be a different car again. I would certailnly also get a turbo timer fitted to protect those turbos after a long run and if you get any DTC's don't erase them - take the car directly to AmD without passing go (but collect the £200 - you'll need it) .

Looking forward to the next meet esppecially if Prawn is also going - be intersting to compare notes.

BTW Prawn - see the SARS restrictions are lifted - are you off to China soon?

I've been to Goodwood & Donington over the weekend so done a few miles (and spent 14 hours in traffic queues...!)

Damn the car is quick now.....

I had my MAF changed earlier this year as the car felt like it was not pushing out 330bhp using my top of the range seat-of-the-pants dyno

I used VAG-COM to check the airflow through my MAF and I was at least 15% down on max air-flow - got the MAF replaced under warranty.

Nige.

What flow rate should I expect?
2001 Silver S4 Avant
AmD remap, APR R1 DVs, APR bipipe, Full Miltek exhaust
H&R coilovers, AWE DTS, Porsche front brakes, Short-shifter, 18" RS4 replicas
Defi-HUD boost gauge / turbo-timer (with afterrun pump modification), Phatbox

Hi Joshie,
Hoping to get to the next meet, especially if its a track day.
It would be very interesting to get the three K04'ed cars together to compare rattles etc

re China, looking at a two week trip, probabley in Late Aug / early Sept, fancy a few beers

Just back from China - fewer tourists than before. I have to spend a fortnight there in October so perhaps our paths will cross.

Certainly be interesting as you say to get the KO4's together. Looking forward to it mate.
