I had a new set a while back and I now have 2.5mm front and 3.5mm rear left, so I've swapped them front to rear and put the best tyre (the spare ) n/s/f for Castle Combe.

Pretty even wear, even for a four wheel drive car.

After that, new Toyo's, I can't ignore the advice posted

Was that fitted Paul and if so was it a fitters in Hemel - there are no fitters in the MK area.

Also, did you have to haggle or is that the published price?

Well I got a price for DavidT from my tyre man.

Toyo 225/45 ZR 17 = £100 each inc VAT and fitting.

If anyone in interested he is about 10 miles south of Sheffield, just off the M1. I use him because he knows exactly what he is on about, and he's a top bloke .

I'll be needing 18" Toyos soon although I'm using the 17" Avus at Castle Combe.

When the times right I'll email you and perhaps I could call in at this fitters on my weekly trip to Manchester.

Yes mate.
If you call them, they'll probably set one up in MK for you. It's only a case of fitting after all.
