Wheel Spacers for S4

Post by lellaS4 » Mon Nov 21, 2005 9:01 pm

I am trying to clear a set of Movit brake calipers without rubbing the tyre on the wheel arch - so I am looking for 5mm (or less) wheel spacer with the correct tapered lip that fits the standard 17" wheel and hub - not a MTM version with a lip.
Anyone with any thoughts on how I can achieve this???

You may be able to source hubcentric spacers from AMD or OCT tuning, depending on where you are.

I got some 5mm spacers from a guy on here called Philwalker, you could try PM'ing him. They are made by Eibach.

Previosuly I had some cheapo 3mm spacers but there was not much metal involved..... 3mm looks best 5mm makes the wheels stickout a little to far. Believe it or not the extra 2mm can be seen.....

Phil Walker on this forum got some for me - they are the Eibach hubcentric 5mm. Needed them to clear 18" B6 wheels as per Clives.

Have a look at this, I had a problem with the B6 18" S4 alloys not cetering at the front on 5mm eibach spacers, (the rears were fine with 5mm) The hub is not long enough to engage the wheel and you can see it isnt centred when you have tightened the bolts, so...... Add 4 blobs of weld, machine down the spacer to 3mm and a taper to exactly fit the wheel !!...........

With Eibach and H+R you only get the "lip" to locate the wheel on + 10mm spacers, this would throw the offset out.
Some wheels have a non taper spigot ring, so the fit is better on the thiner rings.
