I wouldn't call it 'pulled away'!. I thought the 6 driver had engaged reverse by mistake. Nice car.

I'm not that surprised, my stage 2 matched a stage 1 RS6 on 3 separate ocasions much to the disgust of the RS6 owner.

My stage 3 has pulled on two different Carrera 4s. One from 60, and then from standstill. Last one was overtaking traffic, then the Porsche. Clearly wasn't happy.......bonus points!

RS6 has dodgy slushomatic gearbox that clearly hampers performance. Even BMW SMG boxes that are supposed to be faster than manuals clearly aren't, as after three lauches they require replacement. Even the Audi manual manages ten launches ;-)

Lol,lol, lol, lol, lol. Those cars are rubbish. Even with a defective EGT I was still on a Carrera's backside. Had to start off behind him due to the other lane being occupied. Used to be impressed with Porsches until Audi started hitting out with family cars doing supercar times, S4,RS4,RS6. Blew out a Boxster a few weeks back. The whole thing was a waste of my frigging petrol.

Yeah, I know, but the guy thought he was a top shotter in the car and he was giving it some, one of these "I have a Boxster and can deal with anything on the road including family saloons and estates period" type characters. Nethertheless, I showed him that he wasted his 30K, take it back to the shop and lay it to rest.

At the Tuner GP we were running 3.8 to 60 and 12.1 1/4mile...on road tyres...problem is traction in an ELise as the rear rubber is only 225 wide...still a lot of run though :)
cheers

one question. why do people feel they need to beat someone or a car? the boxster owner may be just having some fun with (the new one anyway) best handling sports car in its class. I have had many races with M3s and Elises, but not do or die races, merely an oportunity to see how your car compares to theirs.

I must admit that I love the fact I can keep up with a 911 but then again I'd rather be driving the 911. A sports car is a sports car, a fast family saloon will always be a fast family saloon. The boxster owner probably went home and told a story like , "some guy in a fast family saloon had to overtake me today, he must have been jealous of my porsche"

Ok so maybe I'm only posting this cos I'm thinking of getting a new boxster next year. Did think of getting an rs4 but want a sports car this time.
