as one of the first things on my ibiza I upgraded were brakes (to brembos), this was something I'd had at the back of my mind, even though from fast road driving the S4's brakes seem pretty good.
I'll search the forums, and ponder what to do...its probably sensible to just upgrade pads for now, and then upgrade wheels/tyres and disks (current ones have lots of wear), and calipers as they wear out.
hrm. the modding lark I got addicted to with my Ibiza is hard to shake off...
In the space of 5 weeks after getting it, and saying what I said above, I've given in to the voices in my head and got:
- revo remap. (currently running boost 6/timing 7 set by my sps3)
- porsche 993 turbo brakes on the front
- new oem rear brakes (old ones were worn)
- h&r coilovers
- new tyres all round (yoko AVS Sports)
- cruise control.
- forge 007dvs
all apart from the revo-ing which was done at Revo a few weeks ago, was done at AMD...who delivered it back to the hotel I was staying at, with work last friday.
Wish I could have gone on the group buy for the H&R suspension, but I wanted to ensure that all was ready in plenty of time for my 'ring trip this weekend. Besides AMD did the work for a competitive price, and to a high standard

- back looks very low in that, this is because of the old brakes sitting in the boot...but even still I think after the ring trip, I'll maybe raise it slightly - improved suspension was to help it go round corners.
And, I'm very happy with the Revo code - by not turning the boost right up,, and running decent timing, I'm getting good power (maf readings seem about 230g/s), considering the exhaust is standard, and the car is not getting hot after prolonged used, and the power is progressive...it just keeps going.
