Quality Improvement Measures

Post by toasty » Mon Mar 10, 2003 11:32 am

Hi,

Just looking at my service book, looks like the previous owner had some 'Quality Improvement Measures' done on 26/06/1999 reference 24E7.

Anyone know what these are?

Hi Dan, I think thats Audi-speak for a recall. Probably TBB & clamps on you car, as pre-face lift models suffered from this 'characteristic'.

Yes I can confirm that. + New ECU. in some cases new exhaust manifolds were also replaced if found to be faulty.

I had all that but the exhaust manifold done on mine this time last year. It then took my local dealership 14+ vists and 8 months to get it running right. Which was no thanks to them. AMD did the business there. Thankyou AMD! 8 months of running around with an intermitent EPC dash light and 40BHP down was no fun. Frustration was not the word. But I'm all better now running with 323bhp!
