Has anyone had a gearbox rebuilt or replaced under warranty?

Need some help to determine if and when audi comes to the party for gearbox rebuilds or replacements. So far they have agreed to look at it again when i take it in for next service and see what can be done.

PS ANyone have some technical knowledge on the box?
Id want to know if 3rd gear has a single synchro or some other variation to the other gears which may explain the problem.
