Climate control display?
I was in an A3 1.8T the other day and I noticed that the climate control system worked differently to mine, which made me think mine may not be working properly?
Basically when I first turn the car on, the climate control temperature display flashes (like a digital clock does when it needs resetting), this happens for around 5 minutes, then the digits stay solid.
Additionally, I've noticed that according to the car's manual the temperature of the climate control system should be stored in the key fob and the car should "remember" the last setting, this doesn't happen with mine. The car always reverts to 22 degrees C when I start it.
Basically, is this behaviour normal?
My car is a year 2000 (mid year) S4 sedan, if that makes a difference.
Climate control?
Nope that's not normal i think the best thing you can do is read out the fault codes in an vag dealership.
Normaly the last temperature setting should be memorised by the car.
Also the flashing digit's that's absolutely weird never seen something like that's maybe some kind of power glitsh of some kind.
Could be a wire witch is faulty...
Best thing to do is going to dealership for a read out.
