That's a great spec. Be patient and you will fetch 8k+ if it's in top condition.
Otherwise put it back to standard and sell all the bits. You will raise a fair few k easy that way.
eg.
Brakes £750
Recaro interior £750
Satnav etc £500
K04s + I/Cs £1000+
etc etc

Cheers chaps. Just picked it up from another service at MRC. Pondering keeping a hold of it again now! At least I know I should be able to get around £7k fairly readily if I do want to make the move to B8 S4. Just need to go have a test drive in one now and then look for a few grand off nearly new example if I like it.

I know of a nice K04 S4 with plenty mods..... just sold for several thousand more than the prices we are discussing here. First viewing and it was not even advertised yet. Yes it was RS4 money but not everyone wants an Avant.
It's all about the timing with these cars. If you are patient - the right serious buyer will come along and pay the right money. If you are in a rush or don't want to put the effort in then you let it go for less money.
Up to you.

Don't know any Imola S4's K04'd, other than that one I almost bought off PH a few weeks back, at c£5k...
Ah!! The penny has dropped...
I was interested in his car too, but baulked at the price, as nice as it is. He has been ummming and arrrring for a while now hasn't he.

It sounds like a nice motor, but when standard B5's are going for as low as £4k, I think it may be difficult to acheive 225% of that price. Don't get me wrong though, it is obviously worth that to you. But £7k would be my limit on a B5 regardless of mods, and it would have to be minty, with low miles. I have been looking over the last month or so, so have an idea of the current values. And have considered B5 S4's after driving a couple of them.SJS wrote:Nogaro with genuine Alloy mirrors. Car is perfect and been professionally detailed several times over the last few years. What else would you buy for 9k...seriously?? I have considered selling but cant think what i would change to....stumpy67 wrote:Honestly?SJS wrote:I have a K04d S4 with RS4 downpipes, Milltek catback, RS4 Clutch, MRC remap and soon to be 18" B7RS4 rims and full B5 RS4 brake setup front and rear.
Car is mint and under 90k miles.....i dont think id let it go for less than 9k...What else would you buy with that spec for the money???
You're slightly over-priced? Not meaning to be negative, just have been looking around recently.
I'd put it at more likely £7-7.5k. If it had more mods then I'd put it above 8k... What colour?
And £9k can get you a whole load of car just now also.
