Rob,

I have to say I'm shocked at the response of the customer care department. There must be something they're not letting on to you. No-way should they treat you like this. Ask to speak to a manager, then his manager, until you get a director on the line.

Firstly, I refer to my previous advice, get a lawyer. Kick up as much fuss as you can. Go to the press (Autoexpress for example). The repairs are going to be expensive. I've known cars to be stolen for the electronic bits off as S2 (only discovered when a fiend bought the car as a stolen recovered and couldn't work out why things wouldn't work!

I'd also get a response from the garage and Audi in writing, be it e-mail or paper.

I'll dig out some names I have for Audi in Milton Keynes, but they're in the finance company, not the distributor. With the right approach, I'm sure you can weadle out some contact from them (don't mention how you got the names - they don't like this info getting out!).

My details are in my office and I won't be back until 5/1. However, I've got some other copies somewhere and I'll try to drag them out (if I can lay my hands on them).

Needless to say, I'm absolutely disgusted at their response to you.

How about posting a note on pistonheads (I hope I haven't upset anyone here by suggesting it) as they have a lot of worthy lawyers on there who may put you in the right direction legally.

Count to 10, calm down and then make some rational decisions.

Mail me off line if you can as I won't post names on here. I'm on AOL!

Cheers

Rob
