I have a question regarding the front suspension.
I need to take the front spring and shock off of the car and was wondering if someone can help with the following question.
In the attached photo, does the part shown, remain fitted to the car when the two bolts are removed from the chassis. These are the wto bolts that are underneath the rubber gromets. Am i correct in thinking that the other three bolts that attach the part shown do not need to be removed.
Thanks

Re: Front suspension
Correct.
When I did my suspension because of the siezed bolt I had to remove the entire unit i.e. the three bolts not just the two under the rubber grommets. (Which reminds me I never did replace those. I meant to get new ones. I'd better tell technobod oops!) When I was slackening the 3 bolts I was concerned I would loose the camber etc. But on removal of the bolts I realised there is absolutely no slack or adjustment in any of the these bolts. So it is perfectly reasonable not to perform a 4 wheel alignment if all you remove is the dampers/springs. Of course this assumes you haven't drastically altered the geometry of the car by say lowering it 3 inches!
Is the photo from your car? If so I see you managed to get the potentially troublesome bolt that holds those two arms out of yours. You were lucky
If you have anymore questions drop me a line on my email. You'll get an answer quicker. I can go for days without logging in. Yes...I sometimes have to do some work

Re: Front suspension
Thanks for that, no it is not my car.
I have a small knocking noise from one side of the car, you can hear it when you bounce up and down on one corner.
I just want to get it appart and check the top mounts etc.
