When I bought the car (1998 S4 B5 saloon) a few years ago it came with Eibach Pro Kit springs fitted. The rear near side spring has snapped and I'm looking for a suitable replacement. Eibach claim they don't do a kit for the S4 saloon, so I'm assuming the PO fitted the Eibach Kit meant for the Avant.
I'm looking for advice. Shall I just buy the Avant kit? Is it a straight fit or is this the reason the spring broke (was over 4 yrs old so could also have been wear and tear). Can I just buy two rear springs? If so, where from?
What alternatives do you guys recommend? I'm not looking for mega bucks, top of the range, but want to keep the car as low as the Eibach kit makes it currently, if possible.
Also...are APEX springs any good, or are they just cheap rubbish?
I'm running 18" RS4 wheels if it makes any difference.

Re springs
Have just had to replace the springs on my S4 avant as both where broken at the bottom coil, also broke the ball on a rear ARB link, which led to the dodgy handling with a boot full of paving slaps, will teach me for using it like a van.
Standard Audi springs where quoted at about £75 each. So i got a set of 4 PI springs which lower the car by 25mm. I got them direct from PI off the web. I believed that the Avant had heavier rated springs on the back due to the car being heavier and possible load fill of an estate, but was told that the PI springs were universal. They were £124 delivered and took a couple of hours to fit. they are TUV approved and seem good quality good rubberised coating. I'm not sure how much the Eibach springs are but they may be a cheaper option. then just sell the front springs.

RE: Re springs
Thanks for that. The Eibach Pro Kit is around £180 so PI looks like a decent alternative.
