You have my sympathies.

It is absolutley correct that the site is responsible for cleaning the road. I do hope that your insurance company fights the case.

So sorry to hear about crash Baza.

On the question by another on the ESP. My 98 S4 didn't have this and the back end would step out from time to time but nothing serious, a panic power off doesn't seem to upset the car as much I would have expected say a front wheel drive to respond where sometimes a power off will lift the weight of the rear and make the situation even worse.

My new RS4 has ESP and I had an interesting expereince with it today when I made a U-turn on a dual carrageway. On getting over to the other side I planted the thotal but nothing happened I noticed the ESP triangel light was flashing and then the power came on some moments later. My heart skipped a beat or two as I didn't get the acceleration I wanted on what is a fast flowing road.

Basically the turning circle is so good on the A4s and the ESP is so sentitive in establishing the differntial in the inner and outer wheels that it will hold off the power until the wheels are almost straight. Something I'll be very aware of again from tight junctions.
