Speedo display

Post by niall_wallace » Sun May 24, 2009 6:54 pm

Or rather the centre display in the speedo head. Display works sometimes at best. when it does work, the display is perfect but when it doesnt work nothing works at all, no warning buzzers etc.

Does this sound like a loose connection to anyone? a simple fix? or is this the sign of a failing display? cheers for any info

Are you talking about the little LCD screen (DIS)?

Sounds like you are switching it off to me!
The button on the underside of the wipers stalk switches off the display if pressed briefly. If you hold the button it zeros the selected average reading on the display

Its switching itself on and off, it might not work for weeks and then hit a bump, all works well untill the next time it decides to have a fit.

Just wondered if there was a connection that was common for coming loose etc.
