Has anyone tried Vmaxx or AP coilovers at all ?

There half the price of others and are TUV approved.

RE: Low cost suspension ?

Hi. I have VMAXX and I'm very impressed with them (for the money!). I have my ride height set pretty low and the ride is OEM in comfort terms; the handling is fairly reasonably but I think the car would greatly benefit from uprated roll bars (next on the to do list!).
Only thing I have done is changed the front springs for some slightly stronger ones which cost me an extra £90; but they still only cost me £540 all in.
Hope this helps.

Great, helps loads. Thanks.

I'll probably stay with the default springs though.

Anti-roll bars are a really great upgrade, have h&r on mine.

The springs supplied with the kit are way too soft, think you'll find they are the same rates as standard springs, which is no good if you plan on lowering the car at all.

OK - I'll get the stronger ones.

What type / rating / make are they ?

I got the springs from demon tweeks; can't remember the make but they are 10"long 2.5"i.d and 500lb.
I only replaced the fronts as the rears seem ok.
