B**T kicked by M5 - Time 4 Custom Remap

Post by Kaapse_Laaitie » Thu Feb 19, 2009 12:34 am

I just got dropped by a M5 (old shape). I missed 2nd gear but that wouldn't have made a difference. He had half a car length on me in 1st. When I dropped 2nd gear he was about 5-6 car lengths ahead and just kept pulling away.

Time to pay MCR a visit over easter for a custom remap. I had my stock S4 since oct 2005. Time to up the power a gradually go for that 420bhp I eventually want for my baby.

MRC will def be a good move.

I did the drive up there (similar to what you will have to do as i'm based in Epsom) and combined it with a custom exhaust made up at MIJ Performance in Walsall, but the drive home after having had both done was much more fun!

Defo MRC.

I have owned a standard S4 since 2007 and i did toy with the idea of selling it recently (to get a 911 turbo) but with prices as they are i will be spending the cash on the MRC treatment and taking the car beyond 911 turbo performance. :s4addict:

feels like a completely different animal with a remap.

An extra 55bhp without any engine mods with a custom remap!!
Why do they call it rush hour when nothing moves!?!

Standard S4, but not for long.

Love the idea of an alternative to miltek exhaust system. Prices on the MIJ site look good too. Did you opt for catback or did you get other bit like downpipes and so on?

Money is tight but I saving little by little. So will have the money by May.

I also toying with the idea of 2 twin outlets (left and right) like the B6 S4 but I will need to source a twin outlet bumper that will fit me b5.

Any ideas? :s4addict:
