engine cover wont go back on?

Post by andybnwc » Wed Jan 07, 2009 7:58 pm

Was routing about while getting ready to move house and found my engine covers . Fitted both small side ones but the main one with V6 written on it wont fit . Its fouling with the throttle body boot sensor plug . I have venair boot . Should the plug point upwards slightly?

Some aftermarket TBB's like Samco and Autobahn88 do stick up more than the stock items. You could try trimming it down a little, so long as you leave enough space for the clip which holds the sensor in place to get a good grip.

probably not a good idea to trim them - can cause boost leaks if not done properly - check your dv's are set the right way as these can interfere

i have my main cover left off atm with some samco hoses
