Imola yellow - good or bad?

Post by SJS » Sun Oct 19, 2003 6:24 pm

Hi guys,

Looking at a 2000 S4 imola yellow colour. Looks to be well specced but cant see the mileage on it till tomorrow ( its in a showroom).

What is your opinion on the yellow? I ideally want Nogaro, but they are hard to come by. Price on this is 15995.

My only negative points are that it may look a bit 'rare' if you know what mean. I dont particulary want to stand out quite that much. Plus it may be harder to sell a few years down the line, compared to nogaro blue.

comments appreciated.

Difficult question to answer, i think its horrible, but if you like it then buy it. Perhaps too showy IMO for what is essentially a Q car.

Personally, I like Imola and Nogaro the best. But I couldn't own an Imola myself - just a bit too loud. Misano is also v.nice.

Is that a saloon or an avant you are looking at ?

Carps - it was a saloon. It looks very sharp with 18" RS4 alloys on it. May take a test drive 2moro out of curiosity if nothing else.

Biturbo - Nice looking car, bit out of my budget tho. Only want to spend £15k anymore than that is a bit tight.

cheers

If you could stretch to £18k then we could start talking....

i love imola, but then again im also biased. It, along with nogaro are the only 2 colors I think that show the S car lines... it looks fantastic too with Alu mirrors

I love my color to death, if I brought another S3 it would be a noggy, but I certainly dont regret buying Imola. I say live a little and get something loud & hot!

I think the cars look great in Imola. Too vivid for me though.
Prices for any car vary with colour why not call another dealer and ask what the differences are ?

Test drove the car today. It is the freshest facelift version, with the newest bose stereo. 47,000 miles. Absolutely mint with black leather recaro interior. It was an Audi demo car and owned by an audi director for the last few years. It is the nicest S4 ive driven. Straight sale price of about 15k.

Still not sure about the colour though. Think it is too bright for mr to live with. Heading off to catalunya in the morning for the WRC. Will probably be sold by the time i get back anyway.

If it was nogaro i would be an S4 owner tonight

You lucky SOB - going to the WRC.

Car sounds nice. A difficult decision to make if it is as good as you say. The thing to remember is that others are going to have the same reservations about the colour as you when it comes to selling time.

Good luck

I reckon if you're not sure now then its not the car for you.

Enjoy Catalunya, i'm shouting for Burnsie.

i've got a noggy avant mates got an imola saloon - if he hadn't already got the yellow I would have for sure - it never fails to look stunning whereas noggy is not so good on dull days - get it and love it - best not to go down the route of red etc. they are mince!
