i think going from black to white it is not a bad thing to have a black engine bay - other colours would look strange!

facelift headlights would look better!

Excellent transormation!

I spotted this car in some of the Players show pics the other day, and was meant to create a thread on here!

Looks awesome, and the pin strip would definitely work IMO.

Are those KW v3's?

Wow looks very nice in white!

I was not expecting the colour change when scrolling down. I would update the lights to the facelift ones to improve it even more.

totally agree about the headlights, they are top of the list!

I did quite fancy the one piece dark angel eyes on the bay but have big reservations about cheap looking angel eyes, can anyone coment or even better show pics???

otherwise then yes, facelift lights are to be had!

Doug - apologies, I was in banbury on monday for a photoshoot with the Rallye and was going to swing in past but needed to get up the road, 8hr drive ahead and all that, sorry bud, I should have swung in by to let you see it in the metal.

cheers lad, any pics that you've come accross would be sweet as I never took any and have only seen 1.

only running the V1's, I have V3's on my Rallye and I have to say the V1's are a VERY good alrounder, as a daily, I did think they'd be to soft for the ring, but once on track they seem to transform into a different ride as strange as that may sound for only height adjustables, round the ring and when I have the toe down on nice roads they do seem to just be set c0ck on and the car handles so well and tight. Obvi there were a few areas of scuffage round the ring but that was HARD cornering under hard load etc, but they certainly ticked the boxes req'd for me. that is the only changes I've made thus far to the set up.

as I said to Doug when I was down, I'm trying not to get to carried away with this car as it's only meant to be a daily, but as I'm sure most on here with relate.....it's hard not to! ????? (and just look what's happend in under a year! )

I like it here, think its gone a bit wayward after this but its your car....

The black grill is particularly unsuccessful IMO.

I've also only come across one pic over on the E38 forum.

Which is your Rallye out of curiosity?

Supposed to be your daily, and not overly modded, so you've just gone and done a total colour change.....I like your style!

Nice one Kenny. Glad i saw it up close the other night too. I think it looks great in White, as you know. The people who are in the know, know it couldn't be bought in that colour so fair play. Shame you beat me or Scotty to it.

Virdee, his Rallye is G60VV... Kenny is a pervert!

G60VV rings a bell, but post some pics/link up when you get a chance.

Coming from the VW scene, always interesting to see what others have, especially with an S4 like this, and a Rallye to boot!

this is what happens when I get carried away Doug

Since first ownership of my Golf Rallye I haven't stopped changing/adding/modifying things to it, but now things are slowing down a little, not because there is nothing left to do, but more that it's time to just start enjoying it without thinking continiously about what's to be done next!

I bought this car 3½ years ago and after I found it for a mate (:() who then started playing about with it to get it faster etc, and ended up blowing the bottom end, so then I bought it, sourced a 1H bottom end, and that's where things started......

This is how it looked when I bought it.

I bought the newly built bottom end from Race Power Motorsport, and ended up buying a p&p head, and new piper cam too, and the supercharger was to be sent away for a full strip and service to G-Werks.

So it was time to start stripping everything...

Image

Image

a new black diamond clutch was put in at the same time seeing as everything was out and to save the hassle later if the old one decided to go!

That kinda ended up being a bit of an ethos with this car.... replace it now before it goes!

Image

in hindsight I wish I'd taken to the time to give the engine bay a good clean of all the grime etc, but I never really planned on it taking the turn that it did! + I was working offshore a lot of the time when the engine was being built!

once all back together it and with a freshly serviced charger, I started treating it to some nice hoses

here's a few rolling shots I just got on the way down to Players show, and with a couple of chops at the bottom, I'm awaiting another chop of the wheels back in silver, but will prob keep them black for the winter.

That looks Stunning mate. What shade of white is that? Changing to white has been on my list for ages now justifying the cash spent on spraying it has not been easy especially as if funds allow panels maybe swapped from a certain wide version audi :sekret:
