Rear suspension loose

Post by noccy » Sat Aug 23, 2008 7:30 pm

Recently when i hit a bump or an uneven road the back od my car feels as if it's going to break away. Tyres are good so do i need new bushes or an arb? Car has 106K miles.

you need to get under and see if anything is broken - droplink, subframe, lower hub mounts are the common ones. Tyre pressures too high or low can cause the rear to feel wrong.

Ya if this rain would stop i would. It's being serviced next week so hopefully it's an easy fix. Might be time to do the suspension i've put this off for ages as i was thinking of selling it. but after a great spin last week i'm holding on to it and i'll do some work to it.l

Would you believe one of my rear tyres was completely bald when i checked underneath. 2 new rear tyres have sloved the problem.
The rears were over inflated by the last tyre shop and led to the tyres only lasting 6-7000 miles.
Just goes to show how important tyre pressures are!
