Different Car!

Post by HibS4 » Thu Jul 24, 2008 4:51 pm

Hello Chaps

Just wanted to make sure that everyone with an S4 realises how good it becomes after an MRC remap!!

Took mine along today for a health check and remap, needed two DVs and the EGT sensor replacing. Took it for a spin and it felt better already, Doug confirmed it was running standard boost. After 30 minutes of Dougs magic we went out again, OMG it was astonishing how much more it wanted to pull. Just did his usual third gear up the dual carriageway run from 2000rpm and couldn't stop smiling, especially as there had been a 5 series trying to give it beans behind which we left (it went a different way at the roundabout and was a 545i!)

Have had many prvious cars modded in various ways including remaps on Turbo Diesels and never have I been so impressed with the results.

Huge thanks to all at MRC, very friendly bunch, I will be taking my car back there for any future works.

It's amazing how many cars you read about where people buy them and they had knackered EGTs, Lambdas, DV's, etc.

Just shows that people who aren't enthusiasts (eg: the sellers) don't have a clue when it comes to these cars. The gradual loss of power may have even been the reason why a lot of people sell these awesome cars on.

All hail the healthcheck!

a full audi history means the car was serviced by audi and the owner will of had a full report along with every bill, but not all audi owners want (or cant afford) to spend the money on getting lambda, egt`s or maf sensors sorted by the dealer when theve just spent £350 quid on a lube service  ,what i mean to say is just because the dealers are wankers not all the technicians are
