rear brake lights

Post by g60bv » Sun Jun 29, 2008 12:21 pm

i had to change both my rear brake light bulbs. both had blown within a week of each other. i changed both. and the car still shows as having a light out. as soon as braking for more than a second.- car beeps and show a bulb sign. i have checked and replaced the front side lights as well.
its driving me mad. i had heard the rear brake lights differ left to right. is this true.?

According to Etka they are the same.

Did you replace them with decent quality ones?

Have you checked they both light up ok?

Also is the centre one working?

I had the same problem, used a cheap bulb and still got the warning light.
