There was mention recently of us 'yokels' having a mini get together somewhere convenient. I'm over in Brackley so Witneys not that far away from me either. I seem to remember mikeyquattro being involved somewhere.

Cough. That's not a Montenogo in the backbround of the 4th shot down is it?

Nice S4, though :)

Hello mate,

just read your post...looks great!! I picked my 1999 S4 same colour up in April...found out on the way back mine also had a blown rear BOSE speaker!!!

Couldn't find a spare from anyone other than the stealer...so £105 later (what a mug aye..it sounded horrible though) I set about changing it!

It involved bringing rear seats forward, lifting rear shelf covering (velcro all the way along front), popping securing studs out as you lift shelf trim. At this point you need the
shortest philips screwdriver you can get, this allows you to get to the two most annoying screws holding the speaker in. Really fiddly between rear screen speaker! After that its a 2 sec job to do, un plug/swap/plug etc. Then just reverse all that to put back!

If youre struggling drop me an email, me and my mate Jimyfloyd got there in the end!

Hope this helps. Could be worse i found out after all that the other one on mine had blown to (not brought myself round to sorting that yet)!!

Ross

Yes mate, in Marcham, thought I saw you one night outside the pub here
That is such a nice looking car. I was probably one of the other guys standing outside. Just saw it last night whilst going to the shell garage (V-Power of course ;-) ).

Any meet ups approaching?
