Indeed, hence why I won't be going any further and am looking at more viable alternatives.

I've been reading about spec clutches, see a few horror stories about. I know 034efi use them and they have a good rep as far as i know (not far)
I was very temped with a fidanza and stage 3/3+ depending on what my odd gear change prob is. the Stage 3 is £550ish and the fidanza £275ish. Anyone know proven alternatives and costs.

I am likely to get my flywheel from TTV motorsport at approximately £220 quid (Steel and comes in at about 13lbs weight). RS4 PP and jobs a good'n.

Sounds good. You got a link? Remind how that weight compares to other offerings.

Can you try to get a video that reasonably accurately depicts the sound, so that we compare? I'm having trouble imagining it.

From what I have seen the weights range from 12 to 15 lbs. TTV are on 01473 312266. I have no affiliation.

Agreed. Seems they do lightweight pulley wheels also. Chubby has one of their flywheels on his RS4 and seems very happy with it.

TTV are making me a one-off single mass steel flywheel, for my S8 motor as we speak.

Was there yesterday. Weight is going to be 7 kilos.

illogical :/ you are not going to improve chatter if you go for a slightly heavier light weight wheel

Good job it's not the main motivation for buying a lightened flywheel then!

Not sure how much you'll be charged, depends on the garage.

I'm fitting mine at the same time as I'm installing the S8 motor, and 2000 S4 6-speed with oil cooler (DSY).
