CH's are best in my book, but on an B5 S4 I think 18's are perfect. All IMO of course

I would just try and get a set of 18" CH's Zero.

I wonder how strong those OZ's are. My friends mum has 19" superleggera's on her TT and they buckle pretty easily. But that is a woman driver!!

They "buckle pretty easily"? What happened exactly? Did she have an accident and they buckled or just touched a kerb?
Would really like to know as I have a set coming next week.

The wheel passes TUV and a number of other impressive specs. I checked up and the wheel is heat treated and shot peened - not your typical cast wheel.

Oz a motorsport wheel...F1 and all.

but I have found you can mash most wheels up using sleeping policemen as ramps at about 70...

Exactly the same as the BBS then from what Phil W was saying on the phone when I was speaking to him on Friday, as we where discussing the confusion from BBS telephone people regarding installing BBS wheels on an S5 due to a BHP limit.

I would still like to hear the circumstances of the buckling taking place from Soupie though.

Ah.
No offence S4 but searching for the string "BBS+alloys+buckled" will return you exactly those results as people only tend to post onto forums when things go wrong, that's not most at all, that's those that have had issues. "BBS+alloys+bounced+off+kerb+with+no+damage+at all+amazing" as a search will net you precisely nothing.

Its the same as saying "Audi S4 Turbo Failure", you look for that, you will find exactly that.

Ah I see, what I was wondering was the exact circumstances of Soupies friends mum in case it was something out of the ordinary as he seemed to be putting it forward as a reason for picking one brand over the other.
I know that wheels will buckle if you smash them into something, the same as any alloy will regardless of make or model. Its all a factor of how hard you hit them.

Just normal day to day driving, she looks after the car a lot. The roads about here are pretty rural so some are littered with potholes. It could be a case of her hitting a few of these plus having low 35 profile tyres.

I was speaking to her husband yesterday and they had 2 replaced when they bought the car from Audi and had to replace another one themselves. The wheels have also just been away to be refurbished and straightened.

All this is over the past 4 years. The wheels are the 19" versions and were pretty light for the size that they are. The 18" versions may be better as they will have a larger tyre fitted, I believe that OZ are great wheel makes but I would expect there would be a compromise for saving some weight.

Anyone looked at Speedline Turini's? They are similar and have chunkier spokes.

I looked at Speedline Tourini's but couldn't find any with the correct ET for our cars.
