History check on S4 RPD which is now on a V plate

Post by Parptoot » Sat Mar 15, 2008 4:38 pm

Help needed before I hand over some money.
I have first refusal on a silver S4 based near Oxford, but before I hand over the money I was hoping someone on here would know some of it history.
It is now on V 99 plate with about 80,000 mmiles on it and has the following things done to it.
MRC 330bhp remap and Milltech exhaust.
Dealer and specilaist service history (inc AMD+MRC).
Short shift kit.
Black leather Recaro interior.
If any one has any info on this car please post on here or PM me, anything would be helpful.
Many thanks.

Hello,
It was really clean, but not overly valeted. A daily driver but looked after.
It went like I expected them to go with a remap, really strong, steady on the road, no pulling from the brakes or steering that Black estate was well off the mark I'm so glad it was sold before I got there again!

Some of the wheels had a few scabby bubbles on but nothing I'm going to worry about. It also needs two front tyres.
It was up for £8250, he's let me have it for £7950.

I just hope I'm not missing anything serious?
Anyone got any tyres going cheap?

One would hope it has been to MRC.

As its in Oxford why not offer to pay for a health check at MRC before you by the car. The sellers answer should help you make your mind up.

I'm due to pick it up today, I just wanted to know if anyone on here had owned it before the present owner.

It's had an HPI check and thats all clean, I also had it on vag com before and after the road test with no faults showing so I think it's a good'un.

The only other thing I found was a heatsheild on the O/S bank, just beolw the expansion tank was just slightly rattling, if I touched it it would stop, I didn't think this was serious.

It's strange to think that I'm selling a 20 year old car which will fund some kitchen work (lots) and an S4.
A mixture of a sad and happy day, money in on one hand then straight out on the other. But it's a good choice!
I'll miss my old Ur quattro!

As soon as I have a dry day I'll get some pics up on here.
