What is your y-pipe outer dia. ...

Post by smurfbus » Wed Sep 17, 2003 10:32 am

... at the connection to the tube between y-pipe and maf?

In NA S4 its 3" but in my EURO S4 it seems to be 3.5" as it is in RS4. I actually removed the hose and measured the OD on the y-pipe.

I would like to know if all EURO S4s have bigger dia or do I have RS4 y-pipe and MAF?

I dunno. Can you post a pic so I know where to measure from ? otherwise it is a bit too techy for me (and others I suspect)

One pic in my audiworld picture poster is the silver y-pipe in the midle of the enginebay and the measured end is the one up left. Click my user account number 57166 on the page above and you will see the pics

S4 MAF Part #

Post by Nige_RS4 » Fri Sep 19, 2003 12:18 pm

My MAF part # is 078 906 461 B. Picture of MAF is here. (someone elses MAF, not mine, but part # is the same).

Hope that helps - perhaps if an RS4 owner would be kind enough to post their MAF part # it would help clarify this.

So my maf should be S4 maf. I have to wait if someone measures their y-pipe to see if its 3.5in 87mm.
