I'm thinking I might go back to standard bulbs actually. All the LED's are a bit bling for me.

Cheers for that rikrose, and thanks for the picture. I ordered mine this evening so hopefully I'll get them within the next two days.

i changed mine few months ago only due to the yellowish light of standard sidelight looking crap next to the xenons. I took a pic so you can see the difference in the bulbs. It might look like doesn't give off much light but from straight on they are a lot brighter then standard. They are possibly a bit more blue than i would like for the match to the xenons but i prefer them than the standard ones

I have the same LED bulbs as above...Colour wise they are pretty good, Quantity of light is poor and spread is poor. It is only a sidelight tho...and i think on a dull day they look grand...enough to get you noticed anyway!

From first impressoins, they're good running lights. In that objective I think that's mission accomplished. The next trick is to see whether other people agree...

Oh, and to colour match.

Right, I've just had a chat with ultraleds. They say that they hear that they're different colours quite often from Audi owners. Personally, I think that's a bunch of crap because colour output is not affected by voltage or current in LEDs.

JohnRet: Let me know what yours are like when they get to you, and if they're off balance then we could see about swapping. If not, I might order 2 more, and then I'll pair them up and sell them, as planned.

I decided to use SCIENCE! (okay, I do have the xkcd t-shirt that says "STAND BACK, I'M GOING TO TRY SCIENCE!" - third one down in that link)

I swapped the bulbs over, and looked again. The green moved with the bulb, rather than staying put. This means that the bulb is different, not the lighting system on each side (as suspected). So, I called UltraLEDs, this time armed with more knowledge, and ready to send them photos after dark of the voltage meter in the car, the before and after swap pictures, and prepared to pay the cost of shipping to me (since shipping is a service, it's non-refundable).

I called up, got a different guy on the phone and said "I got two different colour LED bulbs form you. I'd like to have the same colour, please. I'd send one back, but I bought them because my sideluights had blown already" (which is 50% true. One had blown). He said "Oh, no problem. Give me your invoice number, and I'll send two more out - when you get them, send me back two". I promised that I would send them back the same day.

Score one for getting the right person on the phone :)

NO They're the ones without the heatsink !!
Also I got different coloured ones too - Luckily I had ordered TWO pairs and got 2 matches, therefore used the shade I preferred !!
