Quick valuation...

Post by fade2grey » Thu Nov 15, 2007 5:56 pm

Following the cam belt snapping on my car & pursuing Audi for it, I need some valuations to compare their offer with. I was expecting 8-8.5k for a very well maintained, lovely condition car but they've come back with 6250. what's realistic for :

A Red S4 avant, had 92/98k (I can't remember) miles on the clock, Full Audi service history lol, non modified, Black leather, carbon trim, no Sat nav, dog guard & liner & nokia Bluetooth kit. Thru load, cruise control.

Cheers guys,
Alex

not sure if this is any help but i picked up my S4 '98 for £7400 - similar miles and full Audi History about 6 months ago. I would expect a bit more than they are offering, try to find lots of examples for sale that show the value is higher??

If Audi have offered you that then its pretty good compared to what they offered me for a part Ex.

A year ago, with 115K V plate 2000 facelift, Sat Nav TV Recaros heated and electric, metallic paint, + loads of other options, I was offered £3000 against a B7 RS4. They even said, that was market value and I was lucky to get that.

I would still show them the prices of well maintained ones and get as much as you can out of them. They are called Stealers for very good reason!

Good price for a px imo....

The 2 saloons you have mentioned that are over 10k will struggle to sell at that price.
It's only worth what someone is willing to pay.

Someone may want either of them, but the trick is finding them!
Tomorrow is another day
