It usually splits underneath the jubilee clip at the bottom of the hose, so it's almost impossible to detect without taking it off ! Here's the tech article on AW.

Its possibly just as easy to change it if there is any doubt. They only cost about £7 from Audi

Tweaky

I see that you have a Milltek cat back. What does this sound liek in comparison to the standard exhaust?

You can hear the difference here. Scroll down to Exhaust Runs and download the MPEGS!

Mine split the other week towards the end of a day on the track

It was the opposite site to the small hole, piccy in galery.

great thanks for that....now i am tempted with the apr bi-pipe. Hmmmmm

If you do, check with Joshie and me before fitting as we certainly have some suggestions to improve the process...

Mine split right at the sensor entry point, but was almost impossible to spot without removing the TBB.

If you're in any doubt just take it off and inspect. It litterally takes 15-20mins to remove inspect and refit.

Sometimes a small film of oil can be seen or felt underneath the TBB. (i.e. the oil vapour coming up through the intercooler.)

I always carry a spare in the boot compartment and the tools to change. No probs so far!
