I reckon if you play with those pipes too long you will certainly have an 'emissions' problem.... might be difficult to get it through the 'mot' too ....OH MAAATRON!

Do ASP's have the MCrAlY foil type cats on them?

Might have to see if I can get me mitts on some high flow foil cats....OH JESUS I'm getting a semi on....

and now I've just got my Vag-Com lead...WAHEY :o in car laptop frenzy...all weekend (or afterwards I will have a weak end)

I just bought a set of ASP downpipes. Those are the ones I mentioned earlier. Monday I will try and and find out for sure what im going to do. So far Ive cadded out a nicely set of flowed 2 x 2.75 inch pipes, with two boxes as I dont want it too loud.

I just picked up the downpipes now, so I need to get the car on the ramp at my friends exhaust shop, then see if what ive designed will fit okay or not. Ive tried keeping it as close to the Milltek design as possible, trying to make it flow a little better at the bends. Im possibly thinking of putting a single resonator on each pipe then a back box towards the end with dual 2.75 pipes. It all depends what will fit, as I want a knock free exhaust.

Ill be using the V band couplings all the way down the exhaust as well.

Sorry to Hijak your thred Julian. Tell me what you think. It cant beat yours for value though. £47o is an absolutely bargain mate. I might even check with Milltek to see if they can do me a dual box with 2 x 2.75 pipes instead of the usual RS4 2.5's or the S4's 2.25 pipes.

Heres two pics compared to stock.

Mine are the generation 2 version, with the v band coupling flanges and the round style sport cats. So slightly different.
Hi Saf

Do you mind me asking what price you paid for the ASP true 3" DP's including shipping from the US? I am currently running the APR stealth system with 2.5" DP's and interchangeable test pipes or sports cats. I would like to go 3" to enhance a few of the other mods I have got lined up.

I paid £850 for them from a guy off the forums. He got them new about 6 months ago but never used them. I heard its about £920 with tax and delivery.

Ive heard the 2.5 inch apr exhaust from a sound clip. SOunds lovely. And that was with skinny downpipes.

I am looking at a pair of 100cell cats from Germany then geting them fited here, and at the same time sorting out the S4 downpipes and miltek single cat back I have on. The miltek centre box is rotted and cracked so will need replacing (4yrs old)

Does anyone know the size of cats I should be buying?, what size are the RS4 cylindrical ones please?

I can get diameter = 98mm, 110mm, 120mm nd 130mm, they all have tapered ends which I will cut to mate to the size of pipe I end up with. They are all about 250mm long.

Thanks

Nigel.

Hmm I'm looking at getting a pair of foil cats too....

Milltek has a lifetime warranty doesn't it.... If its rotten and 4 years old I suspect it aint a Milltek

It is a miltek, and it is cracked at the centre box in 2 places where the pipe exits and couldn't be welded as the metal is so thin.

Miltek only cover the warranty if you are the original purchaser.

Cheers
