Trim panel between rear window and door

Post by toasty » Fri Jun 20, 2003 10:09 am

Does anyone know how to remove the trim panel at the back of the car between the rear window and the back door?

It's the one on the saloon that has the rear courtesy light built into it

It runs up from the parcel shelf around the quarter light and then up to the roof lining.

I've had a gentle pull on it, but I'm not sure if I'll need to remove the parcel shelf to get it out.

Does anyone here know how to remove it?

Cheers in advance

Sorry Toasty,

I don't have that section of the Erwin manuals. It might be worth buying. They retail at approx £12 per section. But if you can wait a better option would be to buy the complete Bently CD for $70 from VAGCOM. This beats the normal £70.

That's what I'm going to do now. Having bought 5 sections of these Audi Erwin manuals. They are a bloody rip off. I'm sure a complete manual will add up to possibly £200!

Thanks for the advice mate.

I think I probably do need to take out the parcel shelf, if when you get the disks you could have a look that'd be great, I'm not in any major hurry.

To be honest I have a small dent in that part of the cars bodywork and I feel that if I can get behind it then it might just pop back out. (I've tried dent wizard etc, and they said they couldn't do it, but I think I can if I can get to the rear of the dent)

Cheers

I think Dippy has the Bentley manual - perhaps he culd have a look for you?
