Got my first of bits today. A nice AWE vent mount boost gauge from Regal-Auto :)
Also the bloke from Chipsaway has just been - £100 for the few scratches on the drivers side rear door, stone chips on the bonnet and the mobile phone screwhole repair.
Nice!

Will take some before and after pictures. I just got the quote from him a couple of hours ago. The work itself is being done on Wednesday afternoon. Seemed a nice guy too, knowledgeable and knew things about paint that bored me to tears though LOL.

Well, a busy morning.
Wheels fitted on a treat, though I should have just used the local rubber monkeys as it cost me a new Draper Expert socket set and a torque wrench. Still I have the tools now should any other jobs rear their head.
AWE Boost gauge fitted too, what a bitch that was. Skinned my knuckles a treat on the inside of the vent opening trying to get the hole cut for the hose and wires.
Not sure I understand how to read the thing though, any ideas what it should be idling at etc??

Hi Dan
I picked up my S4 up last Thursday, what a car, much more that i expected. One day i might actually get it into 5th and 6th gears Such acceleration (MTM 306 CHIP) but it's the bit in the middle of the dash that says 21 mpg that worries me.

The gauge should read somewhere between 17-20inHg vacuum on idle - and your peak boost on a stock ecu map should be around the 11psi mark (0.8bar)

Looks like I am going to be even more happy :)
Just rang MRC on the off chance of getting in Friday (as I had booked the day off to clean the car for a meet at the rolling road on Saturday), guess what, they had a cancellation just a few minutes earlier :D

Clean the car or custom remap how many seconds did that decision take?

About 2 seconds if that once they told me they had space on Friday LOL.
Still, should be back just after lunchtime so always a chance of a quick wash and a hoover, followed by a quick blast to dry it off :D
