Good question.

I saw the black roofs on Merc's first then on a new A3 and quite liked the look, then a couple of guy in the US did it to there A4's which sold me.

I do like the black roof ...

I always wondered what my Noggy would look like with a carbon or black bonnet ... here is a pic of a M3 which I think looks good with the bonnet.

Also, I need to get Anthracite wheels, Dougs looks good

I like the black roof on docurley's motor, I like the the carbon roof on the M3 CSL, that M3 looks barry to me, IMHO.

No, really, I can't make my mind up, some days it looks ok, others I am just not sure ... maybe its a little too much ...

Yeah, you got me. TBH, I factored in my personal disdain for the brand, and still decided it was barry. You know what it is, it's the hoooj vents in the bonnet. Are they necessary? If you get a carbon bonnet made, I'm sure you could mould it on the standard one. Having said that, the carbon bonnet on the supercharged MTM RS4 B7 is bonnet-porn, and that's got some subtle ventage.

Yes very rude. Not a fan of the carbon bonnet! Good idea for weight loss but would look better painted IMHO. Thinking about a black roof now?
Is it a metalic black you have docurley?

carbon is the most expensive thing ever! tried 2 get a carbon bonnet 4 my S, custom only and lookin like 2k ish! new shape M3 has carbon roof/bonnet as standard!!!! carbon looks exellent IMHO if u can afford it.
