S4 (B6) wheels on an S4 (B5)

Anyone know if the S4(B6) wheels will fit and S4(B5) ?
The size is 8Jx18H2 ET 45 but I do not know the PCD.

PCD is still 5x112 and the hub centre is still 57.1ish mm diameter.

If your offsets are acceptable for your requirements I can't see why they shouldn't fit.

My Oz's fit fine but I had issues with bodywork and suspension until I used spacers. Check your clearances if your offset changes or the new rim width is different.

Dunno, but they sure look good on the new S4 don't they.

I'm probably the only person who disagrees. The first time I saw the new S4 I thought "the wheels are too big".

OK, so the rolling circumference is about 1.5% greater which I don't really see as a big issue.
The only real issue appears to be the offset - is an extra 10mm offset going to cause problems ? I understand that the genuine RS4 wheels have about 15mm less offset and that does cause problems because the S4 doesn't have the boyed up arches ( [img]images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] ). So will 10mm sticking further in be OK ?
I have had a scout around in the arch and it doesn't look like it'll be a problem, but obviously I can't tell if that is going to be the case on full lock with maximum suspension travel

While the 18" wheel is bigger, running the proper tyre size maintains stock rolling diameter and offsets any variance ... so, you're right, it's not a big issue. ;-)

Not sure what you're referring to here, as OE offset for B5 S4 is also ET45. Assuming the B6 S4 brake clearance requires similar wheel design, an 18x8 wheel with 45 mm offset would be *ideal* on a B5 model as well.

I was under the impression that the standard B5 wheel was 35mm offset. As you say, if it is 45mm then that's 'perfick'.

So in summary, this looks like it's a goer !

Wheel/tire combo weights vary dramatically from one setup to the next. S-03s in 18" weight 26 lbs, while Toyo T1s weight around 23 lbs. My OZ Superleggeras in 18" weigh only 17 lbs, while the OE 17" S4 Avus was a portly 28 lbs.

If you're referring to an OE setup specifically, the 17" Avus with Pirelli P6000s were around 52lbs. S8 Avus are reportedly lighter, even though they're 18-inchers, and are made by Speedline (versus Ronal) ... so the B6 18" Avus might be lighter than 17" B5 Avus. However, shorter sidewall tires (lower profile) often weigh more than higher profile equivalents.
