Post by BaSen » Thu Jan 11, 2007 12:25 am

I basically wonder if you can install the RS4 console (rpm + velocity meters, not sure if i made myself clear on what i meant ) in the S4 and if there is any modifications to be made if you want to fit one?

I guess you are talking about the clocks rather than the centre console? I think the clocks go straight in on

Yep, I'm sure you will need to code the instrument cluster and all the keys to make it work.

I'm sure Grizz will jump in at some point, but when i was interested in some RS4 clocks they couldn't go in an S4 pre the digital clock facelift late '99.

or did i dream it??....

Sorry, I was talking physically and for compatibility. Physically, they go straight on but you need a facelift car.
The cluster will need recoding which I think you can do with VAG-COM. Try a search on audiworld.

they'll work but if they're secondhand you can't alter the mileage to suit and you'll also need the SKC which might be with the spare keys. if not it's a dealer only job i believe
