Not kicked by, but surprised by a Seat Leon Cupra R.
Caught up with one on my way to work. He had obviously been pootling along and I came up on him pretty quick. It wasn't clear to pass, so I knocked it into 6 and was about to pootle along behind until it was clear to pass (hadn't noticed the Cupra or the R at this point).
Anyway, it must have been the speed I came up on him, but he suddenly changed his mind and decided to speed up. Of course, I had just gone into 6th at about 40 mph, so he had a head start.
I had no problem catching/keeping up once I had knocked it back down to 4th, but I was surprised at how quick he pulled away. Once I caught up I noticed the Cupra R badge.
No problem keeping up, but I would have struggled to get past on these country roads.
